These Iconic Levi's Jeans Are Under $100 - and Go With Everything in My Closet

Roomier denim styles have helped coax me out of my winter sweatsuit addiction, but I realized that living in barrel jeans also has its limitations. While oversize pants are a vibe, it turns out that teaming them with my other oversize closet favorites wasn't particularly flattering. I needed a pair of jeans that would look great with anything, whether it was just sneakers and a T-shirt for school pick-up or heels and a bodysuit for date night. They needed to be comfortable - obviously - and timeless enough to transcend seasonal trends. I decided to finally try an iconic denim brand and style I had somehow overlooked all of my life, the Levi's 501 Original Cropped Jeans ($98).

What I Like About the Levi's 501 Original Cropped Jeans

This pair of Levi's jeans nails the popular mom-jean aesthetic: high-rise for tummy support and absolutely no crack-baring potential; fitted in the waist and hips but loose and straight throughout the legs. They are slightly cropped (I'm 5'6" and chose the 28 inseam length), which gives them a modern feel and shows off cute shoe details.

I chose the no-stretch option in the Worn In Medium Indigo for a truly classic look. The no-stretch material helps them to keep their shape, even when I'm kneeling and running around with my kids and dog throughout the day.

The color is that perfect medium wash - the kind you instantly envision when you think of a classic pair of jeans. They're dark enough that they can be dressed up easily but also look right at home with warm-weather blouses and casual T-shirts. Did I mention that they also make your butt look good? Well, they do.

What's Worth Noting About the Levi's 501 Original Cropped Jeans

If you're used to stretchy jeans, the no-stretch transition might take a beat to get used to. After being a stretchy-jean person for years, I've recently converted to team no-stretch and am loving the change. The material gets softer the more you wear them and unlike stretchy jeans, they don't cling to you.

It's also worth noting that these have a button fly, which is another lifestyle jump from a zipper. Initially, un-buttoning and buttoning each time you use the bathroom can feel like a pain, but I got used to it and came to appreciate the security I feel with all of the buttons.

Who Are the Levi's 501 Original Cropped Jeans Best For?

If you're looking for jeans that you'll reach for year after year, these are a fantastic pick. They're perfect for anyone craving a truly classic pair of denim that is versatile, flattering, and comfortable.

Where Are the Levi's 501 Original Cropped Jeans Available?

You can pick these jeans up at Levi's.

The Boob-Window Trend Is All Over the Red Carpet From Sydney Sweeney to Chlöe

The boob window is the new trend in celebrity dressing making waves this year, both on and off the red carpet. As early as January, in fact, Lori Harvey stepped out to celebrate her 26th birthday in the LBD version of the look, flaunting an asymmetrical midi from The Attico with a chest cutout that circled her cleavage, and was further amplified by an attention-grabbing neck-tie sash. The outfits that follow often resemble halter silhouettes, although not all of these numbers boast a strap on each side. Sydney Sweeney is the latest style icon to give it a go, opting for a brown silk gown that she wore alongside model Izabel Goulart while vacationing in Ibiza. For a night out, the 25-year-old " Euphoria " star rocked her one-shoulder design with gold jewelry, dewy makeup, and her bright blonde hair in loose waves. The bodice of her dress was secured near her collar bone, where fabric from one side was pulled through a loop at the other, wrapping around to the back. The r...

Candice Huffine: "Size Does Not Equal Health, and Weight Does Not Equal Worth"

Image Source: Luvlette Born in Washington DC and raised in a Maryland suburb, Candice Huffine did a little bit of everything when she was growing up, from being captain of the cheerleading squad to taking her turn as a pageant queen. "It was 'typical' in a Hallmark movie kind of way, I guess," Huffine tells POPSUGAR. "These details are important to mention because they did influence my life path. I willingly put myself on a stage at every turn - and not always kind ones - to do the things I loved or to follow a dream I had." Huffine, 39, signed her first modeling contract in 2000. She was "determined" to be a model, despite the fashion industry being notoriously discriminatory toward plus-size people. Knowing the odds were stacked against her propelled Huffine even further toward realizing her dream. "When I received a contract as a plus-size model, it unlocked a new mission in me: to not pursue modeling just for myself, but to push har...

Diaper Shorts Are Back - How to Shop the Controversial TikTok Trend

Of all the street style trends to dominate our FYP and social media feeds in recent years, bloomer shorts seems to be the most bizarre (and ironically one of our top favorites) yet. And who do we have to thank for it? TikTok, of course. In a single scroll on the popular app, you've probably come across the piece multiple times, from those viral Miu Miu briefs to Aritzia's more affordable offerings. Slightly more flirty and risqué than the stomach pudge dress or the fisherman aesthetic , bloomer shorts (aka "diaper shorts") have officially made it to the top of the sartorial food chain. What Are Bloomer Shorts? While the idea of bloomer shorts may seem new or daunting at first, they're far from groundbreaking. Similarly to most trends, the good ol' "everything is new again" concept applies here, as the fad dates back to 1850 when the silhouette was invented as a practical solution for women's health and comfort - eventually grabbing the atten...
