Chanel Iman's Massive Engagement Ring Taps Into a Popular Bridal Trend

Model Chanel Iman is engaged to New England Patriots football player Davon Godchaux. The duo, who are pregnant with their first child together, posed for plenty of pictures during a romantic getaway to Capri, Italy, where Iman said yes in a butterfly-embroidered white cutout maxi dress from For Love & Lemons. Iman posted a string of photos, which included a close-up of her unique emerald-cut engagement ring with an East-West setting upon rose gold hardware and a diamond eternity band. She boasted the perfect manicure for showing off her sparkler – milky-white nails to match the rest of her summertime look, which was styled with a side-parted hairstyle and natural-looking makeup. Although the jewelry appears delicate, the stone itself stands out by a mile thanks to its orientation and the way it reflected the sun when photographed.

Following the celebratory moment, Iman, 32, and Godchaux, 28, continued on their baby moon-turned-engagement trip in style, with Iman highlighting her bump in a frilly, side cutout Sabo dress with a pink and yellow floral print, which is currently on sale. "One of the best gifts in life is a life time of adventures ! My soulmate, protector , backbone and best friend the best memories are yet to come ❤️💍💎 📍Capri🇮🇹 Italy," she captioned portraits in a red convertible, which show Godchaux in an all-white ensemble consisting of a shacket, lightweight pants, and Nike sneakers.

Iman was previously married to New York Giants player Sterling Shepard, who she shares two children with, but they separated after four years of marriage in 2021. Godchaux is also a dad to his 7-year-old son Davon II from a previous marriage. Iman and Godchaux publicly debuted their relationship at Coachella in 2022, and have since traveled the world together. Her first engagement ring from Shepard was a round-cut solitaire, though it was similarly set in rose gold and featured pavé diamonds around the band.
