J Lo's Plunging Thong Bodysuit Is the Best Take on the No-Pants Trend

Jennifer Lopez is promoting her beauty line, JLo Beauty, wearing a simple and chic black bodysuit in a new campaign post that emerged on the brand's feed on Jan. 15 and again on Feb. 26. The look, which ensured that her flawless skin was on full display, boasts an '80s "Flashdance"-era silhouette, completed with a thong bottom, super-high leg cut above the hip, and plunging neckline that bared a hint of cleavage. Her hair and makeup were natural, aiding to the advertisement of her skin-care range, which is more about the health of your body and skin than the makeup added to your routine.

Fun fact? Lopez wore the actual "Flashdance" bodysuit in her "I'm Glad" music video back in 2003, so pulling off this aesthetic (also reflected in the Norma Kamali look she rocked in June) is certainly in her blood.

This particular JLo Beauty promotional image debuted at the brand's one-year anniversary, having originally launched on New Year's Day in 2021 after two decades of discussion. Right on the heels of her Barbiecore workout look that was posted for Bodyarmor last week, this shoot is a bit cleaner and sleeker in style as well as in color palette.

While Lopez wears her bodysuit as a fully skin-baring look, it's one of our favorite wardrobe essentials to layer with other basics. With any of the bunch-free, seamless designs ahead, you need little more than some vintage denim or a silk slip skirt to finish the outfit. As such, take a cue from Lopez's playbook, and shop some classic black thong bodysuits, with styles for every body shape and budget.
