J Lo's Dress Proves She's Queen of the Plunging Neckline and Thigh-High Slit

Jennifer Lopez appeared in an Instagram Reel to promote her new movie, "Shotgun Wedding," wearing a white dress with a thigh-high slit. Dressed in the bridal-inspired maxi dress, she introduces a teaser for the film, looking into the camera saying, "That's right, the day has finally arrived." Indeed, starting on Friday, Jan. 27, you can finally stream the much-anticipated "Shotgun Wedding" movie on Amazon Prime.

Always one to embrace a sartorial theme, Lopez perches atop a stool wearing a wedding-appropriate long-sleeve dress with a dramatically low neckline. The maxi boasts a floor-sweeping hem on one side and on the other, it rises up to her left thigh with a sultry side slit. Around her neck filling the space her dress left open is a collection of diamond-studded chain necklaces that coordinate with her oversized diamond hoop earrings.

It stands to reason that the actress would wear a long white dress for the occasion, as the theme of the movie is the couple's, well, shotgun wedding. Playing the character Darcy, Lopez spends the better part of the film wearing a white wedding gown, so it's only fair that she wears similar looks on the press tour.

This isn't the first time Lopez has chosen head-to-toe white in promotion of her new wedding movie. In fact, in mid January, the star showed off an all-white suiting look with a sheer tunic from Michael Kors Collection. And, immediately following, she took to Instagram to showcase her white ruffled cutout Giambattista Valli dress for an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live."

Coming off quite the wedding season of her own, it seems as though bridal whites will always be in the cards for Lopez. Scroll up to get a better look at her latest white dress and then read all about her "Shotgun Wedding" wardrobe.

The Boob-Window Trend Is All Over the Red Carpet From Sydney Sweeney to Chlöe

The boob window is the new trend in celebrity dressing making waves this year, both on and off the red carpet. As early as January, in fact, Lori Harvey stepped out to celebrate her 26th birthday in the LBD version of the look, flaunting an asymmetrical midi from The Attico with a chest cutout that circled her cleavage, and was further amplified by an attention-grabbing neck-tie sash. The outfits that follow often resemble halter silhouettes, although not all of these numbers boast a strap on each side. Sydney Sweeney is the latest style icon to give it a go, opting for a brown silk gown that she wore alongside model Izabel Goulart while vacationing in Ibiza. For a night out, the 25-year-old " Euphoria " star rocked her one-shoulder design with gold jewelry, dewy makeup, and her bright blonde hair in loose waves. The bodice of her dress was secured near her collar bone, where fabric from one side was pulled through a loop at the other, wrapping around to the back. The r...

Candice Huffine: "Size Does Not Equal Health, and Weight Does Not Equal Worth"

Image Source: Luvlette Born in Washington DC and raised in a Maryland suburb, Candice Huffine did a little bit of everything when she was growing up, from being captain of the cheerleading squad to taking her turn as a pageant queen. "It was 'typical' in a Hallmark movie kind of way, I guess," Huffine tells POPSUGAR. "These details are important to mention because they did influence my life path. I willingly put myself on a stage at every turn - and not always kind ones - to do the things I loved or to follow a dream I had." Huffine, 39, signed her first modeling contract in 2000. She was "determined" to be a model, despite the fashion industry being notoriously discriminatory toward plus-size people. Knowing the odds were stacked against her propelled Huffine even further toward realizing her dream. "When I received a contract as a plus-size model, it unlocked a new mission in me: to not pursue modeling just for myself, but to push har...

Diaper Shorts Are Back - How to Shop the Controversial TikTok Trend

Of all the street style trends to dominate our FYP and social media feeds in recent years, bloomer shorts seems to be the most bizarre (and ironically one of our top favorites) yet. And who do we have to thank for it? TikTok, of course. In a single scroll on the popular app, you've probably come across the piece multiple times, from those viral Miu Miu briefs to Aritzia's more affordable offerings. Slightly more flirty and risqué than the stomach pudge dress or the fisherman aesthetic , bloomer shorts (aka "diaper shorts") have officially made it to the top of the sartorial food chain. What Are Bloomer Shorts? While the idea of bloomer shorts may seem new or daunting at first, they're far from groundbreaking. Similarly to most trends, the good ol' "everything is new again" concept applies here, as the fad dates back to 1850 when the silhouette was invented as a practical solution for women's health and comfort - eventually grabbing the atten...
