Taylor Swift Sparkles in a Mini Romper Covered in Stars at the VMAs Afterparty

Taylor Swift loves a theme. After winning video of the year at the 2022 MTV VMAs, the artist casually confirmed her next album, "Midnights," was coming soon on Oct. 21. Backstage at the award show, Swift swapped her striking Oscar de la Renta naked dress for a midnight blue silk romper from Moschino for the Republic Records afterparty on Sunday evening.

Featuring sequin star embellishments and a sweetheart bust lined with crystals, the singer's celestial look was appropriate considering "Midnights" will include "the stories of 13 sleepless nights scattered throughout [Swift's] life," according to her album artwork, which also shows Swift wearing vibrant blue eye makeup. She paired the starry playsuit with sparkly platform heels, diamond earrings, and white faux fur draped over her arms. Her floating crystal liner and signature red lip from the award show stayed with her through the afterparty.

Swift made a surprise appearance at the VMAs earlier that night, dazzling on the red carpet in a sheer minidress covered in thousands of draped crystals of different shapes and sizes. Resembling a mirrorball, the bejeweled dress was an unexpected choice for the "All Too Well" singer. Though Swift's public appearances are few and far between lately, at the Tribeca Film Festival in June, she arrived in a cool navy pinstripe Max Mara pantsuit, while she paired her purple cap and gown with a chic pair of leopard pumps when she received her honorary doctorate of fine arts from New York University.

Take a closer look at the musician's eye-catching afterparty look ahead.

The Boob-Window Trend Is All Over the Red Carpet From Sydney Sweeney to Chlöe

The boob window is the new trend in celebrity dressing making waves this year, both on and off the red carpet. As early as January, in fact, Lori Harvey stepped out to celebrate her 26th birthday in the LBD version of the look, flaunting an asymmetrical midi from The Attico with a chest cutout that circled her cleavage, and was further amplified by an attention-grabbing neck-tie sash. The outfits that follow often resemble halter silhouettes, although not all of these numbers boast a strap on each side. Sydney Sweeney is the latest style icon to give it a go, opting for a brown silk gown that she wore alongside model Izabel Goulart while vacationing in Ibiza. For a night out, the 25-year-old " Euphoria " star rocked her one-shoulder design with gold jewelry, dewy makeup, and her bright blonde hair in loose waves. The bodice of her dress was secured near her collar bone, where fabric from one side was pulled through a loop at the other, wrapping around to the back. The r...

Michael Kors has established himself as the go-to designer for all things American glamour, whether that's easy West Coast chic or '80s power bitch, so it was not particularly surprising when he cited the Studio 54-era of New York City as inspiration behind his Fall 2019 collection, shown ... Candice Huffine: "Size Does Not Equal Health, and Weight Does Not Equal Worth"

Image Source: Luvlette Born in Washington DC and raised in a Maryland suburb, Candice Huffine did a little bit of everything when she was growing up, from being captain of the cheerleading squad to taking her turn as a pageant queen. "It was 'typical' in a Hallmark movie kind of way, I guess," Huffine tells POPSUGAR. "These details are important to mention because they did influence my life path. I willingly put myself on a stage at every turn - and not always kind ones - to do the things I loved or to follow a dream I had." Huffine, 39, signed her first modeling contract in 2000. She was "determined" to be a model, despite the fashion industry being notoriously discriminatory toward plus-size people. Knowing the odds were stacked against her propelled Huffine even further toward realizing her dream. "When I received a contract as a plus-size model, it unlocked a new mission in me: to not pursue modeling just for myself, but to push har...
