Tina Knowles-Lawson Says 5-Year-Old Rumi "Has an Amazing Sense of Style"

With parents like Beyoncé and JAY-Z, it's no surprise Blue Ivy, Rumi, and Sir Carter are already style stars in the making. Tina Knowles-Lawson recently chatted with Oprah Daily about Ivy Park's latest collection, Ivytopia, and shared how her grandchildren contribute to the brand.

"They are little fashionistas, and they have definite determination about what they like and what they don't like."

"They are little fashionistas, and they have definite determination about what they like and what they don't like," the businesswoman and fashion designer said in the July 21 interview. "When Beyoncé's doing the first samples, they get them, and some things they love, and some things you can tell are not their favorite. Kids like things that are comfortable. They don't want anything that's scratchy or too tight or high around the neck."

Considering 10-year-old Blue and 5-year-olds Rumi and Sir have starred in multiple Ivy Park campaigns alongside their mom, it only makes sense they'd provide their input for every collection. Though Blue's effortless cool style has made headlines in the past, as she hung out courtside in a sleek black outfit or performed with Beyoncé at the Oscars, Rumi seems to be just as excited about fashion. "She has an amazing sense of style," Knowles-Lawson said, adding that Rumi reminds her "so much" of a young Solange Knowles.

During a recent trip to Disneyland, Knowles-Lawson recalled Rumi picking Mickey Mouse shorts and a matching sparkly printed top for her outfit. "It actually looked really cute. But her sister came in and Blue was like, 'My mom would be mad because she's doing too much.' And Rumi said, 'This is my style.' . . . I was impressed. She also said, 'Mickey Mouse is going to be so excited. He's going to come up and take a picture with me.' She's so funny. And do you know, Mickey came up and took a picture with her."

The Boob-Window Trend Is All Over the Red Carpet From Sydney Sweeney to Chlöe

The boob window is the new trend in celebrity dressing making waves this year, both on and off the red carpet. As early as January, in fact, Lori Harvey stepped out to celebrate her 26th birthday in the LBD version of the look, flaunting an asymmetrical midi from The Attico with a chest cutout that circled her cleavage, and was further amplified by an attention-grabbing neck-tie sash. The outfits that follow often resemble halter silhouettes, although not all of these numbers boast a strap on each side. Sydney Sweeney is the latest style icon to give it a go, opting for a brown silk gown that she wore alongside model Izabel Goulart while vacationing in Ibiza. For a night out, the 25-year-old " Euphoria " star rocked her one-shoulder design with gold jewelry, dewy makeup, and her bright blonde hair in loose waves. The bodice of her dress was secured near her collar bone, where fabric from one side was pulled through a loop at the other, wrapping around to the back. The r...

Candice Huffine: "Size Does Not Equal Health, and Weight Does Not Equal Worth"

Image Source: Luvlette Born in Washington DC and raised in a Maryland suburb, Candice Huffine did a little bit of everything when she was growing up, from being captain of the cheerleading squad to taking her turn as a pageant queen. "It was 'typical' in a Hallmark movie kind of way, I guess," Huffine tells POPSUGAR. "These details are important to mention because they did influence my life path. I willingly put myself on a stage at every turn - and not always kind ones - to do the things I loved or to follow a dream I had." Huffine, 39, signed her first modeling contract in 2000. She was "determined" to be a model, despite the fashion industry being notoriously discriminatory toward plus-size people. Knowing the odds were stacked against her propelled Huffine even further toward realizing her dream. "When I received a contract as a plus-size model, it unlocked a new mission in me: to not pursue modeling just for myself, but to push har...

Diaper Shorts Are Back - How to Shop the Controversial TikTok Trend

Of all the street style trends to dominate our FYP and social media feeds in recent years, bloomer shorts seems to be the most bizarre (and ironically one of our top favorites) yet. And who do we have to thank for it? TikTok, of course. In a single scroll on the popular app, you've probably come across the piece multiple times, from those viral Miu Miu briefs to Aritzia's more affordable offerings. Slightly more flirty and risqué than the stomach pudge dress or the fisherman aesthetic , bloomer shorts (aka "diaper shorts") have officially made it to the top of the sartorial food chain. What Are Bloomer Shorts? While the idea of bloomer shorts may seem new or daunting at first, they're far from groundbreaking. Similarly to most trends, the good ol' "everything is new again" concept applies here, as the fad dates back to 1850 when the silhouette was invented as a practical solution for women's health and comfort - eventually grabbing the atten...
