Kate Middleton Stuns in a Regal Gray Coat Dress, Inspired by Princess Diana

After a three-year hiatus, Kate Middleton embarked on a solo tour of Denmark, looking as regal as one would expect. The Duchess of Cambridge embraced one of her signature silhouettes for the second half of her last day: a double-breasted, knee-length gray coat dress by couture house Catherine Walker. Middleton accessorized her look with a black Mulberry bag, stylish leather gloves, Gianvito Rossi pointed-toe pumps, and pearls. Though the coat dress has almost become synonymous with Middleton, this particular outfit seems like a nod to her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.

Indeed Middleton's silhouette is one that Princess Diana embraced over a decade ago. Many will recall the gray herringbone and velvet collar coat the Princess of Wales wore to the Barnabas Children's Charity in 2008. Lady Di styled it as a midi dress, layering it over a crisp white button-down shirt for a chic finish.

Middleton's admiration of her late mother-in-law is clear, as she wore a similar Diana-inspired look for her meeting with Queen Margrethe and Princess Mary. She also paid homage to Diana's legacy when she wore the Princess's jewels to capture her 40th birthday portrait.

The coat dress is a style Middleton wears often. On a visit to the Royal Opera House in 2019, she opted for a purple Oscar de la Renta coat dress. That same year in Scotland, she was spotted in a tartan Alexander McQueen coat with the Duke of Cambridge while visiting the Victoria & Albert Museum. When she joined Queen Elizabeth II on a visit to King's College in London, she sported a belted Catherine Walker gray coat dress, and the list goes on. A timeless coat dress is Middleton's secret to looking polished and regal.

The Boob-Window Trend Is All Over the Red Carpet From Sydney Sweeney to Chlöe

The boob window is the new trend in celebrity dressing making waves this year, both on and off the red carpet. As early as January, in fact, Lori Harvey stepped out to celebrate her 26th birthday in the LBD version of the look, flaunting an asymmetrical midi from The Attico with a chest cutout that circled her cleavage, and was further amplified by an attention-grabbing neck-tie sash. The outfits that follow often resemble halter silhouettes, although not all of these numbers boast a strap on each side. Sydney Sweeney is the latest style icon to give it a go, opting for a brown silk gown that she wore alongside model Izabel Goulart while vacationing in Ibiza. For a night out, the 25-year-old " Euphoria " star rocked her one-shoulder design with gold jewelry, dewy makeup, and her bright blonde hair in loose waves. The bodice of her dress was secured near her collar bone, where fabric from one side was pulled through a loop at the other, wrapping around to the back. The r...

Candice Huffine: "Size Does Not Equal Health, and Weight Does Not Equal Worth"

Image Source: Luvlette Born in Washington DC and raised in a Maryland suburb, Candice Huffine did a little bit of everything when she was growing up, from being captain of the cheerleading squad to taking her turn as a pageant queen. "It was 'typical' in a Hallmark movie kind of way, I guess," Huffine tells POPSUGAR. "These details are important to mention because they did influence my life path. I willingly put myself on a stage at every turn - and not always kind ones - to do the things I loved or to follow a dream I had." Huffine, 39, signed her first modeling contract in 2000. She was "determined" to be a model, despite the fashion industry being notoriously discriminatory toward plus-size people. Knowing the odds were stacked against her propelled Huffine even further toward realizing her dream. "When I received a contract as a plus-size model, it unlocked a new mission in me: to not pursue modeling just for myself, but to push har...

Diaper Shorts Are Back - How to Shop the Controversial TikTok Trend

Of all the street style trends to dominate our FYP and social media feeds in recent years, bloomer shorts seems to be the most bizarre (and ironically one of our top favorites) yet. And who do we have to thank for it? TikTok, of course. In a single scroll on the popular app, you've probably come across the piece multiple times, from those viral Miu Miu briefs to Aritzia's more affordable offerings. Slightly more flirty and risqué than the stomach pudge dress or the fisherman aesthetic , bloomer shorts (aka "diaper shorts") have officially made it to the top of the sartorial food chain. What Are Bloomer Shorts? While the idea of bloomer shorts may seem new or daunting at first, they're far from groundbreaking. Similarly to most trends, the good ol' "everything is new again" concept applies here, as the fad dates back to 1850 when the silhouette was invented as a practical solution for women's health and comfort - eventually grabbing the atten...
