Let’s Discuss the Vintage Chanel Puffer Coat Rihanna Debuted Her Baby Bump In

It was the Monday morning news that had the internet spiraling: Rihanna is pregnant and expecting her first child with A$AP Rocky. In a series of glowing paparazzi photos, the couple strutted down the snowy sidewalks of New York City with all eyes on Rihanna's baby bump for what could've been the trendiest pregnancy announcement we've seen. The Savage X Fenty entrepreneur chose a vintage pink puffer coat from Chanel's fall/winter 1996 collection to share the exciting news in.

Rihanna paired the coat with low-rise jeans and a Chanel chain belt, plus colorful vintage jewels from the fashion house. She also wore a diamond vintage signet ring on her middle finger from Briony Raymond. The pink silk puffer coat features Gripoix buttons from Chanel's runway show in Paris, as seen in the photo above modeled by Christina Kruse. Chanel and Gripoix famously teamed up to bring Gripoix's multicolored stones, crystals, and brooches to Chanel's luxury pieces. While some have suspected the color of Rihanna's coat and her light pink manicure could be a hint at their baby's sex, others are simply amazed at her ability to rock the open coat during a very cold winter day.

The two musicians were first linked together in November 2020 and have since been spotted on many stylish date nights. Recently, Rihanna wore a Gucci logo-covered puffer vest from the brand's Hacker Project collaboration with Balenciaga. And who could forget about their first Met Gala appearance together in September 2021, when they wrapped up in oversize parkas and gave fans some loved-up red carpet photos? For Rihanna and Rocky, it looks like all major relationship milestones are made complete with a stylish puffer jacket.

Candice Huffine: "Size Does Not Equal Health, and Weight Does Not Equal Worth"

Image Source: Luvlette Born in Washington DC and raised in a Maryland suburb, Candice Huffine did a little bit of everything when she was growing up, from being captain of the cheerleading squad to taking her turn as a pageant queen. "It was 'typical' in a Hallmark movie kind of way, I guess," Huffine tells POPSUGAR. "These details are important to mention because they did influence my life path. I willingly put myself on a stage at every turn - and not always kind ones - to do the things I loved or to follow a dream I had." Huffine, 39, signed her first modeling contract in 2000. She was "determined" to be a model, despite the fashion industry being notoriously discriminatory toward plus-size people. Knowing the odds were stacked against her propelled Huffine even further toward realizing her dream. "When I received a contract as a plus-size model, it unlocked a new mission in me: to not pursue modeling just for myself, but to push har...
