I HATE Pants in the Summer, but This $25 Pair Just Changed My Tune

I'm not a pants person. While I love and own an assortment of bottoms, from rigid jeans to kicky culottes and tailored trousers, they require so much more effort than my midi dresses and skirts. With fuller thighs and muscular calves, I struggle to find fits that are both comfortable and flattering, but I keep trying (though when a pants mood strikes, the process is generally a frustrating 15 or so minutes of me trying on options before I give up and default to a dress or skirt). While this is a year-round dilemma, the Summer is even harder for me - once heat is a factor, pants feel like a suffocating straitjacket for my legs, which is why I abandon them altogether to avoid such discomfort. Who can relate?

Well, my anti-pants stance is officially over! This girl has found herself a comfortable, breathable, and affordable pair of pants that are universally flattering and versatile to boot: the POPSUGAR Wide-Leg Paper Bag Pants ($25, originally $50). In a maritime-blue hue, this high-waist silhouette feels as pleasant as a glass of Rosé on a balcony overlooking Lake Como (OK, not the most relatable comparison, but you get my drift, yes? They're really delightful!).

Featuring a cropped silhouette and roomy wide leg, the pants have a fun and swingy fit to them but with a still-tailored look that's perfect for the office (though they can easily be dressed down with tees and tanks on the weekend). And cut from a cotton blend fabric that feels like linen, they're super breathable, which means I won't be on the verge of spontaneous combustion when the weather soars over 80 degrees. Add in the fact that they come with a cute self-tie belt that cinches in at the waist, and, well, I'm pretty much wondering if I dare consider myself a pants person at this point.

Ahead, see how I styled these comfortable pants for a day at the office (which perfectly transitioned to drinks after hours). Then, shop my entire look, including the $25 style, which, I guarantee, will sell out fast. So jump on it!

The Boob-Window Trend Is All Over the Red Carpet From Sydney Sweeney to Chlöe

The boob window is the new trend in celebrity dressing making waves this year, both on and off the red carpet. As early as January, in fact, Lori Harvey stepped out to celebrate her 26th birthday in the LBD version of the look, flaunting an asymmetrical midi from The Attico with a chest cutout that circled her cleavage, and was further amplified by an attention-grabbing neck-tie sash. The outfits that follow often resemble halter silhouettes, although not all of these numbers boast a strap on each side. Sydney Sweeney is the latest style icon to give it a go, opting for a brown silk gown that she wore alongside model Izabel Goulart while vacationing in Ibiza. For a night out, the 25-year-old " Euphoria " star rocked her one-shoulder design with gold jewelry, dewy makeup, and her bright blonde hair in loose waves. The bodice of her dress was secured near her collar bone, where fabric from one side was pulled through a loop at the other, wrapping around to the back. The r...

Candice Huffine: "Size Does Not Equal Health, and Weight Does Not Equal Worth"

Image Source: Luvlette Born in Washington DC and raised in a Maryland suburb, Candice Huffine did a little bit of everything when she was growing up, from being captain of the cheerleading squad to taking her turn as a pageant queen. "It was 'typical' in a Hallmark movie kind of way, I guess," Huffine tells POPSUGAR. "These details are important to mention because they did influence my life path. I willingly put myself on a stage at every turn - and not always kind ones - to do the things I loved or to follow a dream I had." Huffine, 39, signed her first modeling contract in 2000. She was "determined" to be a model, despite the fashion industry being notoriously discriminatory toward plus-size people. Knowing the odds were stacked against her propelled Huffine even further toward realizing her dream. "When I received a contract as a plus-size model, it unlocked a new mission in me: to not pursue modeling just for myself, but to push har...
